Architexture 12

Welcome to issue 12 of Architexture, the monthly newsletter from the Architecture Centre Network (ACN) - the independent body representing architecture and built environment centres in the UK.

ACN News

Living Together
The ACN has announced the development of a new cross-disciplinary project under the working title Living Together.

In collaboration with a number of UK architecture centres Living Together will consider the way we live in terms of physical design and social reality – and is expected to include a critical examination of housing design, neighbourhoods, social and economic influences, and diversity. To support the centres in this initiative the ACN is to appoint a dedicated project manager this Spring [more].

Directors' Group
The ACN Directors' Group was established in 2005 to act as a strategic discussion forum for Chief Executives of member architecture centres. In March, a second meeting was held at the Architecture Centre Bristol and provided a valuable opportunity for Directors to share sector practice and intelligence with one another.

Digital Network
After a process of extensive product research and user consultation, the ACN has recently been able to make a significant investment in a range of cutting edge web-based applications which will augment our existing extranet and internet offer for members. Further details of this exciting expansion to our online services, generously funded by CABE, will be announced in the next edition.
